A DAYE LAYE

"Every dawn of our lives a heart is forged and
Linked with lore to one so similar
  Born with blessed life dust
  Stored beneath its soul
To bless and pass onto its children

Even though the wind may blow it all away
Don't ever worry 'cos I'm your friend"

Marc Bolan - A Beard Of Stars

Once the soul has taken up the process of taking birth into this material world, it also accepts to play different roles as this material world is nothing but a stage set-up for a great theater play. It is said in the Vedas that prior to returning back to the spiritual world, the soul will transmigrate through 8,400,000 species of life, of which 400,000 are of human nature.

"Every dawn of our lives a heart is forged"

In this epistle, the 'heart' is associated with the persona or the role the soul will play. Early in its life, the soul will choose and 'know' what to do. At nine, Marc Bolan said he 'became' Elvis Presley... He knew he would be a rock star, a performer, a poet. So the character was forged. In the Hindu scriptures, this is also called 'dharma' or duty, the activities the soul is born to accomplish in this life.

"...and linked with lore to one so similar"

This is a major precision from Marc Bolan regarding the concept of "twin souls".
"Linked with lore" gives a better idea as some people even think the soul can be divided in two different entities, and spend most of their lives looking for their other half - which is not the case here. In due course of time, the soul will meet the eternal friends and associates. They always find their way through the various incarnations.

"Born with blessed life dust
  Stored beneath its soul
To bless and pass onto its children"

The
"blessed life dust" is the perfect knowledge of one's origins. No matter what the role performed by the soul in this present life, there is always this inner knowledge of a higher innate truth. Beyond this persona or role played in this life, beyond this limited material world doomed to be destroyed, beyond this fragile human body evolving through childhood, adulthood, oldage and eventually death, there is an eternal identity waiting to be awaken. It is said it is the duty of the soul to then "bless and pass (this knowledge) onto its children". Parenthood is thus a most sacred role.

"Even though the wind may blow it all away
Don't ever worry 'cos I'm your friend"

Whatever happens in one's life, there is always a way out. Many children do complain they haven't been 'desired' by their parents and links are broken. Sometimes even as early as birth itself and the
'wind has blown it all away'. Still, this most secret knowledge is there and as precious as ever. One may think the parents didn't give proper love, affection, attention. And sadly, it may have been so. But deep within oneself, this sacred "blessed life dust" is intact for it is passed from soul to soul. Once the child comes to the realization that this inner knowledge is ever shining within his own heart, it becomes obvious that the parents had done their most important duty, eventhough the external attitude may not have met the 'normal' standard required in this society. The material roles are tricks and games we agreed to play before we have chosen to come here on this planet. When the knowledge is found and becomes a constant state of consciousness, the roles played by the different parties suddenly take on their most perfect importance. This is why Marc precisely ends this epistle with this most reassuring line: 'Don't EVER worry, 'cause I'm your friend' Above all illusion, he tells us God will be there unconditionally in one form or another.
