In this song, Marc Bolan offers his spiritual wishes to all the children on this planet: "I want to give every childe the chance to dance", as every cosmic dancer is entitled to in this vast universe. Marc Bolan reads books on Eastern philosophy and learns that in the spiritual world, "people don't walk, they dance; they don't speak, they sing"... For Marc Bolan, this is the perfect image to express one's existence and character in life and he will use this analogy in other songs as well. Obviously, everyone should "dance" his life, but Marc knows that so many children cannot even dream this could be possible. The 60's were overshadowed by the useless and cruel Vietnam war, and other wars and famine are still going on in various parts of the world.

The whole album is an hymn to brotherhood and belonging opening with the wonderful statement "We are the Children of Rarn", "We are the Seekers of Space", uniting all dreamers, from children to wizards, from poets to rockers. Every human being has a right to happiness, to love and peace of mind. Every citizen has a right to be ruled by honest politicians, taught by wise and learned sages, and to earn a decent living while pursuing self-realization.

Moreover, everyone should have one's own place to retire and be alone, a place to meditate, a place to explore one's inner dreams and hopes as well as fears and pains; a private place to settle the score with one's own mind.

Then Marc Bolan repeats the first sentence: "I want to give every childe the chance to dance" : for he knows self expression is the key to life's fulfilment and building a brave new world requires people who have developped inner qualities that will actually make this world a better place: paradise on earth for some, the New Jerusalem for others, the mythical Shangri-la... one thing for sure though, such a place can only be possible if all living beings seeking shelter are greeted with true love and understanding, without any possibility of discrimination regarding race, sex or religion: a free world rooted in knowledge and wisdom - a kingdom fair !
